After performing for around an hour in a Manchester, UK concert, Emperor Wardi went outside the concert hall for a break and some fresh air. A teenager followed him to tell him how much he admired him. He wanted to say to him, “ No doubt! You are the king, the greatest singer in human history. That the Sudanese government should build you a palace where the Blue and White Nile meet, resign immediately, and appoint you King of Sudan”.

The teenager had so many things in his head to say and was even contemplating singing the intro to the iconic song ” Banadeeha” (I’m calling her). But nothing came out because he was star-struck and in awe of the African Emperor. The legendary Sudanese singer sensed this because he looked down at this teenager standing beside him, staring up at him and unable to speak. The African Emperor smiled at the teenager, shook his hand, went back inside the concert hall, and dazzled the audience.
